About Me

I am a Licensed Recreational Therapist who is passionate about helping others improve themselves. Often times through helping others I often find myself improving who I am as well. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings with people from all walks of life, from Alzheimer’s patients to paraplegics, stroke victims to drug addicts. Each has changed my outlook on life and who I am as a person, hopefully for the better.

The Experiential Experience is a blog dedicated to the variety of learning activities I have used with the people I’ve encountered to teach valuable life skills. The activities and ideas here are a great for use within a therapeutic setting but also have relevance with companies building teamwork, church groups for religious lessons and even within a family setting to help improve communication and cooperation. I encourage you to find an activity of interest and try it out with your group!
